Students who need international student visa
Admission qualifications
- Education: 12+ years of schooling
- Or have recognized equivalent or higher academic ability
(If you have less than 12 years of study due to differences in the school education system of your home country, please contact before applying.)
- History of Japanese language studies
- Have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 level, Test of Practical Japanese F Level, NAT-TEST Level 5 or higher and completed at least 150 hours of Japanese language study at a school or language institution by the time of application.
Application procedure
- The applicant fills out and emails an interview questionnaire to the school.
- The school reviews the interview questionnaire, conducts an interview, and issues a notice to applicants who pass the interview. (Interviews will be held on site or via Skype, Wechat, QQ, etc.)
- The applicant fills out the application form and prepares the required documents. (Contact the school with any questions that arise when preparing documents for submission.)
- The applicant prepares and mails the application form and the required documents to Kobe Institute of Computing – College of Computing (KD).
- The school examines the submitted documents and, if there are no problems, submits an application for issuance of Certificate of Eligibility to the Immigration Service Agency of Japan.
- The school informs the applicant of the results of the application for issuance of Certificate of Eligibility.
- The applicant transfers their tuition and dormitory fees to the school’s designated bank account if a Certificate of Eligibility is issued.
- The school sends the applicant an admission certificate, the Certificate of Eligibility and other original documents after confirming payment.
- The applicant applies for the Student visa at their local Consulate-General of Japan with the admission letter and a Certificate of Eligibility and comes to the school on the date designated by the school.
Students who don’t need international student visa
Admission qualifications
- Have a status of residence in Japan
- Excluding student visas, visas for family stay, permanent residents, etc. are eligible.
- History of Japanese language studies
- Have completed at least 150 hours of Japanese language study at a school or language institution by the time of application, or have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 or higher. Or have the equivalent ability. Applicants must have mastered hiragana and katakana. Please contact for questions regarding levels.

- The applicant fills out the application form and prepares the required documents. (Contact the school with any questions that arise when preparing documents for submission.)
- The applicant prepares and mails the application form and the documents to be submitted for admission to Kobe Electronics Vocational School (KD).
- The school examines the submitted documents and, if there are no problems, the applicant passes examination.
- The applicant transfers their tuition and dormitory fees to the school’s designated bank account.
- The school will send the applicant an admission certificate and other original documents after confirming payment,
- The student comes to school on the designated date.

The application periods are April and October, so please apply according to your own convenience.
